Description
Shelbyville had design plans created for a southeastern by-pass of the City to create a connection between SR 44 and SR 9 that would not require vehicles to traverse through the City. The project was broken into three phases to accommodate federal funding size limits and to allow for quicker implementation of the project.

Level 5 Engineering was selected to perform full time construction inspection and administration of the project’s three phases. The project required on-going communication throughout the project to address construction issues. The project included significant expansion of the City's sanitary sewer system for growth areas along the corridor.
