Description
Duke Reality selected Level 5 Engineering and Steel Quest to design a new 4 story, 127,000 square foot office building to be located near Brentwood, Tennessee. Level 5 was the Structural Engineer of Record, providing the structural steel and foundation design.  Our design utilized open web steel joists, and joist girders which proved to be an economical and functional design.  Level 5 also utilized steel bracing to resist the lateral loads in this relatively high seismic region. 

The poor soils in this area necessitated the use of a rammed aggregate foundation system.  Level 5 provided design, shop drawing review, and construction observation services.
