Construction Inspection

At Level 5, our construction inspection staff is composed of a skilled group of individuals with a client-based focus on performance. The client’s best interest is held as the highest importance with every project that our staff oversees. We have the experience necessary to handle projects of both small and large scales ranging from small curb and sidewalk projects to large scale multi-lane roads and bridges.

Our inspection team has experience with all necessary computer programs and testing requirements for federally-funded projects. We understand the importance of communication throughout a project and keep the clients continually informed of the project’s progress. Being fiscally responsible with the client’s budget is very important throughout our projects and is evident in our completed work.

East Street / Madison Street Reconstruction and Widening - City of Indianapolis, Indiana

Level 5 team members completed the construction inspection for the rehabilitation of the East Street / Madison Street corridor on the south side of the City. The project replaced deteriorated pavement, a failing storm sewer system and provided improved pedestrian access to the roadway and adjacent businesses. Our work included coordination with numerous utilities that were not included in the construction plans. The corridor is the main city street, providing access to the City from the south suburbs and was US 31 at one point in time. The project also spurred redevelopment along the 2-mile corridor. The approximate construction cost of the project was $7,200,000.

Franklin Road Reconstruction and Widening - City of Indianapolis, Indiana

Level 5 team members completed the construction inspection for the reconstruction of Franklin Road for the approximately ½ mile long project on the east side of the City. The project replaced and widened the existing pavement, adding storm drains and pedestrian facilities. The project roadway serves as a major alternative to I-465 on the east side of the City and supports an adjacent amateur sports complex. The approximate construction cost of the project was $1,500,000.

Henderson Street - City of Bloomington, Indiana

Level 5 Engineering provided the construction inspection services for the addition of storm sewers, sidewalks, ramps, and a bus pull off along Henderson Street from Hillside to Allen. The project was part of a "Safe Routes to School" program that helped pay for a portion of the project to add a bus pull-off, crosswalks, and lighted crosswalk signs that are solar powered. Railings were also added at the box culvert crossing by Bryan Park for safety to the many people that jog and bike along the paths. The City of Bloomington had an inspector from the engineering department working with the Level 5 staff. Working together with the City on a daily basis made for a very smooth project that came in under budget and on schedule. The final cost of the project was $488,500.

Marina Access Road - Gary, Indiana

Level 5 is currently the Project Supervisor/Engineer for this road and bridge project representing the City of Gary and INDOT.
